You’ve gotta hand it to Kevin Rudd.




He may be an egocentric workaholic maniac, but he’s a very very smart maniac.



I have no doubt now that he released the swearing video on the weekend.



I have no doubt that he had planned it for weeks and that he knew that he’d record that interview with David Speers from Sky on the Saturday night just 7 hours before flying out to Mexico.



I have no doubt that he’d long planned to make his resignation at 1am in Washington so as to dominate every nightly news bulletin in Australia.



He’s a schemer…….this Machievellian plot is beautiful in it’s maximum impact rollout.



KEVIN Rudd's letter of resignation as Foreign Minister arrived in Julia Gillard's office just as he was announcing his dramatic move in Washington.

There had been no consultation between the two over the issue. As if he would have consulted her about anything after the events of 2010



It is understood Mr Rudd's office had begun moves to change his travel plans - bringing him back to Australia - earlier in the day.



This had been on for weeks



Can Kevvy get the numbers between now and Monday.



Surely not.



Surely he will end up resigning and forcing a by election for his Qld seat….and by election that the Govt just couldn’t win.
